Charity Sleep Out to raise funds for homeless

Stay Charity Sleep Out

The event will take place outside Meeting Point House in the newly developed Southwater area with entertainment from local acoustic duo, Loose Lips who are kindly supporting the event for the 2nd year running.

Lasts year’s event saw over 80 people take part and Stay hope that even more people will participate and show their support this year.

Stay’s Chief Executive John Green says “The principle behind Stay’s Sleep Out is simple: people giving up their beds for the night and sleeping outside so sponsor money can be raised to help prevent homelessness. This event is not an exercise in ‘what it’s like to be homeless’ it is a fundraising event that also helps raise the awareness of homeless issues in the wider community and also the causes of homelessness”

Stay is a charity based in Telford working to improve the lives of homeless young people in the area. Since 1991, Stay has helped tens of thousands of young people to get their lives back on track supporting them through any issues relevant in their lives at that time and helping them gain the necessary life skills to live independently and realise their potential.

If you would like to get involved or find out more about the event contact Kay Bennett on 01952 291904 or email: kaybennett@staytelford.co.uk
