Henshalls Insurance Brokers in Newport and Shrewsbury has now welcomed Michaela Petford to the team, after Lucy Sutton and Laura Pitcher made such a positive impact.
Director Mark Freeman said: “We’re delighted that Michaela is now a member of the Henshalls family and she has some very high standards to meet as Lucy and Laura have certainly raised our expectations.”
Michaela, who lives in Newport, studied at Burton Borough School and New College in Telford.
“I was looking for an opportunity to work for a well-established business and a friend of mine had worked for Henshalls previously, so when the opening came up, I was very keen to take it,” she said.
As part of her training, Michaela will now work towards her NVQ level 2 in business administration, with the ultimate aim of becoming a broker once she has obtained the necessary qualifications.
Mark said she had shown excellent potential so far, and her future with the long-established company was looking very positive.
Lucy and Laura were taken on as part of a training agreement with Telford College of Arts and Technology, in Wellington.
“We were incredibly impressed with the way Lucy and Laura excelled in all the tasks they were set, and they have made such progress that we are confident enough in their abilities to make them part of our personal lines team quoting real customers for household and motor insurance policies.
“Now we are hoping Michaela will follow their lead and develop her skills with the support of our experienced and knowledgeable team in the Newport office.
“It’s a great chance for her to learn from the best, and we’re all very keen to help her on the first step of her insurance career.”
