Woman’s body found beneath Chirk bypass

The body was discovered beneath the A458 bridge at Chirk at 1.30pm this afternoon.

A North Wales Police spokesman said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is being treated as unexplained and has been referred to the coroner for North East Wales.

The woman has not yet been formally identified.
