Always Consult Managing Director, Carol Ewels, said: “We support people in and around Shropshire and the West Midlands to start up and grow their own businesses. The event was to celebrate their achievements and raise money for the Severn Hospice charity. We certainly had the venue rocking with Freddie on board!”
Always Consult helped Graham Chidley, aka Freddie, start up his own electrical firm following redundancy from a local creamery. Graham explained: “Without Always Consult driving me and my business ideas forward, I’m not sure I’d be working for myself. Performing on the night was the least I could do to help promote the evening and raise funds for such a good cause.”
The event, held at Serenity in Shrewsbury, was hailed a success by the venue’s Manager, Laura Butler. She said: “Over 100 people turned up to showcase their products and services. I’m all for supporting local businesses and networking. We jumped at the chance to get involved when I saw the promotional work gathering steam on Social Media.”
Always Consult’s activities were endorsed on the night by Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Jon Tandy. Carol said: “It was great that Jon came along to support us. I know he’s passionate about helping small businesses. The comments he made really encouraged the stallholders.” She continued: “We met many of our guests when their business ideas were in their early stages. To see them promoting what they do with bags of confidence and enthusiasm really makes our job worthwhile.”
