Local firm scoops major contracts to support the Children and Young People workforce

Always Consult has won contracts with Coventry City Council and Sandwell Council working with Learning Mentors in schools and guidance practitioners for the Connexions service.

Always Consult’s Managing Director, Carol Ewels, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the two Councils with their Continuing Professional Development programmes. We pride ourselves on the quality of our delivery and the experience of our staff. To have that recognised by the tendering panels is a credit to what we’ve achieved. We were up against some tough competition!”

In Coventry, Always Consult has worked closely with Christine Korczak, Quality Assurance 14 – 19 Advisor in the Children and Young People Directorate, to ensure their Level 5 Learning Mentor accredited programme meets the needs of the staff and OCR Awarding Body requirements. Christine said: “I want to thank the team at Always Consult for running a series of very successful workshop sessions for the LeveI 5 Diploma. I met a member of staff following one of the events who said she was really enjoying the course.” Christine continued: “I’ve spoken with another Mentor recently and she confirmed she’d already recommended your course to other practitioners!”

Sandwell Council invited organisations to tender for the delivery of the new Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development. Always Consult Senior Associate, Adrian Pitt, said: “We enjoyed the tendering process immensely. It gave us the opportunity to design a programme of delivery and support for staff that Sandwell Council and the Awarding Body, OCR, are happy with. Our highly-experienced qualification Assessors are really looking forward to working with the Connexions Advice and Guidance teams.”
