The Cyclist Magazine Choice Award is voted for by internationally renowned cycling Magazine…Cyclist and is awarded to a bicycle which embodies the heritage, ethos and craftsmanship of handmade bicycles.
Pete Bird from Bicycles By design commented: “It’s amazing to have won the Cyclist Choice Award with Ironbridge Bicycles, which is a new project for us! Ironbridge Bicycles are a celebration of UK handmade bicycle design and manufacture, echoing the heritage of the Ironbridge Gorge and mixing craftsmanship with contemporary bicycle design methods and componentry.”
‘Ironbridge the bikes are exceptionally well crafted, but it’s the Ironbridge ethos that resonated with Cyclist: take decades worth of frame building knowhow from the guys at Swallow, distil it into a range of beautifully designed frames and share the task of manufacturing around independent UK frame builders. The long term benefit for the local handmade bicycle industry could be huge, and the rider-consumer will reap the rewards. Just look at that brake bridge.’ – James Spender, Cyclist Magazine judge.
