Newport Mum Romella Jones has been shortlisted for the Health and Beauty Award with BizMums, a social enterprise which provides a community-based support network for mums in business across the UK.
Romella was shortlisted for her business Cariad Therapies, which aims to “help you be the person you want to be”. Her main focus is on parent/ children and she teaches baby massage classes, is a Relax Kids coach, a qualified holistic therapist and SleepTalk consultant (a self-esteem program for children). Her wide range of therapies ensures there’s something to relax the parent and child too, from flower essences in water bottles to energy healing.
Romella explains, “All the therapies I have learnt have been as a direct result of my own journey through life from bereavement to becoming a mother to parenthood. My children have highlighted needs that I have been able to support through new learning & qualifications and I now take these therapies out to the wider audience in Shropshire and beyond. Being a finalist is all down to my happy customers! I’m delighted to be shortlisted and looking forward to the awards ceremony next month.”
BizMums is a national company which provides support, education and family friendly networking opportunities for Mums who are running their own businesses. There are day & evening groups running across the Telford and Shrewsbury with new groups starting in Newport, Albrighton, Bridgnorth shortly.
Every year BizMums holds a conference and awards ceremony to celebrate and acknowledge all the hard work and achievements of mums. This year the awards are being held at Alsager’s Manor House Hotel on 17 October. This event is also a great networking platform with inspirational speakers.
