Collision involving three lorries closes A5 northbound near Oswestry

A collision involving three lorries has closed the northbound carriageway of the A5 between the Mile End roundabout and the Whittington roundabout near Oswestry.

A local diversion is in place with traffic directed back on to the A5 southbound to the Queens Head roundabout to turn left on to the B5009 northbound. At Whittington turn left on to the A495 westbound and return to the A5.

The Highways Agency is warning drivers that the diversion route is likely to become congested.

Nobody was injured in the collision.

Update: The Highways Agency say the road has now fully reopened.
