
A series of walks will be taking place in Shrewsbury during July and August giving an insight into the town’s rich railway history.
David Giddins of the Shrewsbury Railway Heritage Trust is organising the walks for people to enjoy an evening stroll and find out about the towns railway history.
Walks are between one and two miles, and will take two hours of easy walking while David talks about the history of railways in and around the specific area of the walk.
8 July – Underdale and the Potts
22 July – Back of the Sheds
12 August – Coton Hill and Crewe Bank
The walks are being held on Wednesday evenings at 7pm, at a cost of £3 per adult, (under 16’s free but must be accompanied by an adult).
