
Emergency services were this morning called to the A5 near Oswestry after a lorry left the road and ended up coming to rest on the A5 Gobowen roundabout.
The lorry came to a stop in the middle of the island and suffered a split fuel tank at around 7.20am.
One crew from Oswestry fire station was called to the scene to deal with a diesel spillage.
The Highways agency and West Mercia Police were also called to the scene.
The inside lane of the traffic island is closed to traffic.
The driver of the lorry was not thought to have been injured in the incident.
