High-speed fibre broadband is set to become available to more than 90 per cent of Shropshire homes and businesses within the next three years as a result of a multi-million partnership project between Shropshire Council and BT.
After working alongside Shropshire Council and Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK), Shrewsbury’s MP welcomed the much awaited decision from the European Commission to grant the Government’s £500 million upgrade of Britain’s broadband state aid approval.
Telford & Wrekin Council have today revealed they are no longer supporting a scheme to provide superfast broadband to around 7,000 rural homes in the borough.
