The Iron Bridge will be returned to its original colour, English Heritage announced today, following the discovery of samples of the bridge’s earliest paintwork.
English Heritage’s first ever crowd-funding campaign drew to a close yesterday, with a total of £47,545 raised to support vital conservation works on the Iron Bridge.
Telford & Wrekin Council leader and the borough Mayor have written to thank a German organization for a donation to help with the ongoing repair of the Iron Bridge.
Since launching on Monday, more than 500 people have donated a total of £25,000 to help save the Iron Bridge as part of a crowd-funding campaign by English Heritage.
