The huge beer tent for Shropshire Oktoberfest is due to return to Shrewsbury’s Quarry Park on the 4 and 5 October 2019.
The award-winning Shropshire Festivals team have organised brewers from the region and beyond to serve up around 150 real ales. There will also be numerous bars serving up lager, cider and perry, plus a prosecco parlour, gin den, and wine bar, which can all be mopped up with a vast array of delicious street food.
Shropshire Festival’s founder, Beth Heath, said: “We are very excited to be bringing back Shropshire Oktoberfest for a third year. We have been thrilled with the support for the event over the last two years, with people flocking to the Quarry for fun with friends, networking with a difference and group outings.
“This year’s festival will be better than ever, and for the first time we will be holding a silent disco on the Saturday of the event which we hope will create a memorable, unique experience with plenty of laughs.”
Live Music
The music line-up has just been revealed. Friday’s acts include Microbaby, Weekenders, The Paprika Blues Band and Custard Connection. The Friday headline act is The Follicles with their guitar and percussion duo.
Saturday’s music line-up includes Reverie, The List, Asparagus and the Kilburn, Izzy and the hotheads, The Endings, Vorsprung Durch Oompah, Dirty Rockin’ Scoundrels and Five O’clock Hero. Headlining the Saturday show are four-piece funk, pop and blues cover band, Bouncing Betty, with a varied setlist and infectious sounds promising to keep you singing and dancing all night long.

Comedy Club
The festival’s comedy club will be compered by Chris Brooker. He will be joined by Stephen Carlin’s deadpan wit, Keith Carter’s character comedy, Vince Atta and his multi-track looper, and Gordon Southern who headlines following huge success on the international comedy circuit.
It is expected that there will be a big demand for tickets to one of the best parties of the year.
