Cosford Food Festival

Food and drink retailers, local businesses and award winning brands, visitors from across the Midlands can expect two days of tasty food and live entertainment.

There’s something to tantalise everyone’s taste buds with a bustling outdoor food market selling everything from baked goods, chutneys and cheeses to premium coffees, British game and plenty for those with a sweet tooth.

For the more adventurous foodies, there will be flavours from across the world on offer including Spanish, French, Caribbean and Indian cuisine to name but a few. With a wide range of wines, ciders, beers and liqueurs on offer there is something for everyone, whatever your tipple. So grab yourself a glass and sit back and soak up the atmosphere.

With the weather warming up again in time for the weekend there are plenty of ways to keep cool. Try one of the refreshing hand-squeezed traditional and elderflower lemonades or sample an organic ice-cream, with flavours including apple pie, kiwi and Irish cream to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice. If you have been enjoying summer BBQ’s of late, make sure you stock up on some of the award winning meats on offer including Robinson’s Butchers and Delicatessens’ award winning sausages, bacon and their 28 day matured sirloin, winner of the ‘Best BBQ steak’ at the recent National Q Guild BBQ.

Event Organiser Nina Mitchell says:

“Visitors will learn fascinating techniques and tips from the experts through live talks and cooking demonstrations before sampling some of the culinary delights available. If all this talk of food inspires you to have a go at home, why not kit yourself out with everything you need to prepare, cook, serve and preserve the perfect dish from some of our great cook ware stalls. With entertainment over the weekend, including live music, a flypast and activities for children, whether it’s fans of the museum or foodies, there’s going to be a great atmosphere.”

The Cosford Food Festival will run from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July. Admission is just £5 per adult which includes a free Cosford Food Festival programme. Concessions are £4 and children aged 5-16 are £2 with free entry to children under the age of 5. Family tickets for two adults and up to four children cost just £12.
