Bridgnorth Golf Club welcomes 2021 Ladies Captain into office

Carrie took her traditional Drive Into Office on Wednesday 31st March which due to Covid restrictions, had to take place without the usual gathering of supporters, but we can report that it went straight and about two thirds up the hill.

Before her Drive Into Office, Carrie said: “I am very honoured to be taking on the role as Lady Captain and having heard successive new Lady Captains say that at our Ladies AGM, I now truly understand the feeling.

“One of my key interests as Lady Captain will be to be involved in the efforts to increase the Junior membership, the future of our Club, as well as encouraging more lady members to join us through the various England Golf initiatives. It is an exciting time and with your support I am really looking forward to the year ahead.

“We look forward to welcoming the bar and catering team back on 12th April when initially we will be able to socialise again on the patio, and hopefully by 21st June we will be fully open again – what a happy thought!”

Carries drive was followed by Bridgnorth Golf Club’ first post lockdown competition with 63 ladies taking part in a 3 Ball Stableford Alliance over 15 holes, with Carrie providing prizes of pot plants, for the first 5 places.
