Shrewsbury Town confirm the departure of Tottenham winger Shillow Tracey who has now joined League Two Cambridge United.
The 22-year-old was used infrequently by Shrewsbury in the league – where he made just eight appearances. He did net a hattrick in the EFL Trophy against Crewe, but the loan captures of Harry Chapman and Matthew Pennington meant that spaces needed to be freed up.
Tracey began his career at Ebbsfleet and made just one appearance prior to joining Tottenham in 2016. He had a brief loan spell last year at the now defunct Macclesfield Town – scoring his first goal against Leyton Orient in February 2020.
The Newham born winger links up with Cambridge United until the end of the season. The U’s currently occupy 1st place in League Two.
