Bridgnorth Tae Kwon-Do celebrate bronze award wins

Bridgnorth Tae Kwon-Do is celebrating two recent bronze award wins.

Bridgnorth Tae Kwon-Do student Jack Light won a bronze medal at a national competition. Jack travelled to Cheltenham for the Global Taekwondo International British Open on Sunday. His sparring was deemed a tie by the umpires and went to extra time. In a very close bout, Jack narrowly missed out on silver and took home the bronze medal for his efforts.

David Rowley from Bridgnorth Tae Kwon-Do has won a bronze medal at the International Taekwondo Federation Union European Championships. The championships were held in Bradford on Saturday and Rowley bagged the bronze medal for in his veterans black belt sparring division.

As well as training at Bridgnorth Tae Kwon-Do, Mr Rowley has also taken on the role of Squad Coach for their national team. “Dave is completely dedicated and as a previous football coach, he is ideally suited to motivate and educate the squad members. He is a great role model, always pushing himself and striving to improve” said Rowley’s Instructor, Gary Plant.
