Students from The Marches School were celebrating after an impressive performance at The North Shropshire swimming Gala.
The school’s Swimming Squad travelled to Moreton Hall to compete in the Gala and the day was awash with success; with the Marches securing top position in the Under 13 Girls competition.
On Wednesday 18 November, 25 students went to Moreton Hall to represent The Marches School in the North Shropshire Swimming Gala. There was a high level of swimming at the gala and each student put 100% effort into every race they completed.
The U15 Girls and Boys teams were also successful, both gaining 2nd place with the U19 Boys team coming 3rd and the U13 Boys and U19 Girls both finishing in 4th place.
Miss Sofie Suckley, P.E teacher at the Marches School, commented: “I was very impressed by every student at the gala and they all represented the school with outstanding sportsmanship and behaviour.”
She further added: “Well Done to George Garratt, the only U19 Boy representing The Marches, for finishing in 3rd place, which is a great achievement. Also, well done to Anna Rothera and Maddison Griffiths who represented the school at their first swimming gala.”
