One of the country’s true sporting legends and, possibly, the greatest snooker player of all time, Ronnie O’Sullivan, will be visiting North Shropshire, in October, to play an exclusive exhibition match.
The event, which is being held at The Raven Hotel, Prees Heath, near Whitchurch, on Friday, October 16, will be one of the hottest in town, with only 125 tickets available – eight of which will be ‘Golden’ tickets – guaranteeing the opportunity to play a frame against the man himself!
The competition will be overseen by former World professional snooker referee Michaela Tabb, the first woman to referee at a professional ranking snooker tournament and the only woman to have presided over a world championship final.
Ronnie, affectionately known as ‘The Rocket’, has successfully blazed a trail of unbeaten records in his career including being the youngest player to win a professional ranking tournament and the youngest to win the Masters. He also holds the top score for the most competitive century breaks, currently 787, beating Stephen Hendry’s record earlier this year.
He has won the World Championship, the Masters and the UK Championship titles five times and has won an impressive 27 ranking titles throughout his career…so far!
