He joins chairman Mike Harris and fellow board members Helen Harris and Ian Williams, with immediate effect.

Mike stated that he was pleased that The New Saints was able to attract someone of his calibre stating: “Bob brings to the club a set of unique and valuable skills that will be welcomed by the organisation. Already we have identified a number of projects that he will oversee and I am sure that we will benefit greatly from having him as part of our team.”

Bob, a Bolton Wanderers fan, responded: “I am delighted to be able to bring my corporate and leadership experience and contacts to The New Saints and to be able to help implement their plans to grow the club. I have a real passion for football, so this is certainly an exciting prospect for me.”

Born on a council estate in Salford in 1949, Bob originally trained as a draftsman, before working for a packaging company at the age of 21. By 35-years-old, he was working for himself, eventually founding Healthpoint Ltd in 1996. For the past 16 years, he has worked tirelessly to build a solid and sustainable company that prides itself on its excellent service, quality and value for money.

A further appointment at the club is Healthpoint sales director, Neil Lansom, who is to become vice president. Neil comments: “I’m proud to be invited to be vice president at The New Saints, they play attractive football and have a real family-friendly atmosphere on match days. They are a skilful team that work hard and are effective, we think the ethos matches that of our organisation and the two fit together very well.”

Neil, a Liverpool fan and Saints chairman Mike originally met while on the Enduro Africa motorcycle challenge back in 2009, where they helped raise £10,000 for charity, and have kept in touch ever since.

Bob and Neil plan to attend most home games at The Venue at Park Hall. The pair are happy to be able to combine their interest in sport with raising the profile of the Derma V10 brand.
