Firefighters were called to a fire involving a high voltage electricity cable in Telford last night.
One crew from Wellington was sent to Humber Way at 11.57pm after receiving a call about the incident.
The incident involved a 11,000 voltage power line which had snapped, causing a small fire in a hedgerow. The fire self-extinguished before crews arrived.
The area was cordoned off until the power company arrived.
Western Power was also at the scene and isolated the high voltage cable at the local substation.
Homes affected were without power until the early hours.
