A man has died following a fire at a property in Gobowen, the fire broke out at the property on Wednesday afternoon.
Fire crews were called to the incident after a neighbour heard the smoke alarms activating within the property and called the fire service.
Fire crews from Oswestry, Ellesmere and North Wales attended the fire at around 3.22pm.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Despite the best efforts of firefighters a man died at the scene and our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.”
A fire investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the blaze.
