An investigation is underway into the cause of a house fire in the Sutton Hill area of Telford last night.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police were called to the mid-terrace property on Selbourne Road at around 9.20pm.
It was reported that a number of persons were inside the property but on the arrival of emergency services, the property was empty.
The fire was on the ground floor of the property with firefighters using breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and 45mm jet to put out the fire. A positive pressure ventilation fan was also used to clear smoke from the property.
Three fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Tweedale. Operations and fire investigation officers were also in attendance.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101.
