Man stabbed during attack in Shrewsbury

A man is in hospital after being stabbed during an attack in the Coleham area of Shrewsbury last night.

It’s believed the incident happened in Grey Friars Road around 11.45pm last night.

The man was attacked by three men as he parked his vehicle in the street. He later realised he had been stabbed.

He was taken to hospital for treatment, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A police cordon was this morning in place near to Coleham Primary School.

Enquiries are on-going to trace the offenders and police are appealing for witnesses.

Detective Inspector Scott Harris said: “We’re carrying out enquiries to trace those responsible and I would urge anyone who has information to come forward and speak to us.”
