Doors open at polling stations in Telford and Wrekin for local elections

The doors have opened on polling stations across Telford and Wrekin as residents vote in today’s local elections.

Residents are voting in Borough and Town and Parish Council elections.

All Telford & Wrekin Borough Council wards are being contested. However, not all Town and Parish Council wards are being contested.

Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm. Although it is not necessary, it always helps if voters take their polling cards to the polling station where they will be provided with voting papers.

Some voters may find that their polling station location has changed from previous elections and they should check their polling cards for this information.

Over 33,000 people living in Telford and Wrekin have opted to vote by post.

There are no elections taking place in the Shropshire Council area.
