Woman cut free from car after collision on A49 near Ludlow

Emergency services were called to a two vehicle collision on the A49 at Bromfield near Ludlow this morning.

The collision happened at just before 9am with a woman becoming trapped in one of the vehicles.

The female casualty was released by firefighters using holmatro cutting equipment and then taken to hospital via ambulance.

Four fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Craven Arms, Ludlow and Wellington along with an operations officer.

The A49 was closed for a time whilst emergency services worked at the scene.
