Teenager assaulted at football match in Shrewsbury

Police are appealing for information after a 15-year-old boy was assaulted at a football match in Shrewsbury last month.

The incident happened around 4pm on Sunday 27 February at Shrewsbury Sports Village.

The teenager suffered a facial injury after being attacked by a small group of youths, who were watching the match.

One of the offenders, believed to be the main offender, is described as slim build with blond floppy hair and was wearing a black gillet over a black hoody and black jogging bottoms. Following the attack he made off in the direction of Sundorne estate.

Officers are carrying enquiries into the incident and are appealing for witnesses.
