Emergency services called following incident at Church Stretton pub

Emergency services were called to the Bucks Head Hotel in Church Stretton after two people reported feeling unwell during an incident last night.

The pub located in the town’s High Street was evacuated and sealed off whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at around 8.20pm following the discovery of a bag containing an unknown substance.

The substance discovered is currently unknown but not harmful.

Two people were checked over by West Midlands Ambulance Service after feeling unwell but did not require hospital treatment.

West Mercia Police, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service all attended.
