A woman suffered superficial burns to her face following an incident near Minsterley this morning.
The 70-year-old woman was lighting a portable gas cooker in the kitchen when it flashed back into her face.
A butane gas cylinder is said to have exploded in the incident, which happened at just before 10am at Asterley near Minsterley.
Firefighters were first at the scene and administered first aid before the arrival of West Midlands Ambulance Service.
The woman was taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital as a precautionary measure.
