Firefighters are at the scene of a barn fire at Preston Gubbals near Shrewsbury this lunchtime.
Five fire appliances from Shrewsbury and Oswestry were called to the scene at just before midday.
Appliances including the light pumping unit and the water carrier were sent to the fire involving around 250 bales of hay.
Firefighters are using three hose reel jets, a main jet, breathing apparatus and short extension ladders to tackle the fire.
Crews are reported to be making good progress dragging out and damping down the hay with assistance of farmers.
