Police say they remain concerned for the welfare of a woman seen being forced into a car near to Minsterley on Saturday.
The incident occurred at around 2:50pm in a location between Plox Green and Hope on the A488 near to Minsterley.
Witnesses describe seeing a man forcing a woman into a navy blue small car believed to be the same size as a Honda Jazz or Vauxhall Corsa. The vehicle was seen to drive off towards Bishops Castle.
Officers have confirmed that nobody has been reported missing in connection with the incident, and believe that both individuals are known to each other.
As well as appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the incident they are keen to speak to the woman involved.
Inspector Rebecca Bishop said:
“One of the lines of enquiry we are following is that the people involved may be known to each other. However, we remain concerned for the welfare of the woman and would continue to appeal for anyone with information to contact us. We would also appeal for the woman to contact us to let us know if she is alright; even if she doesn’t want to make a formal complaint regarding the incident. We are keen to know she is safe and well.”
The woman is described as white, in her late teens / early 20s, slim build with brown, curly hair which came to her jaw line. She was wearing denim trousers, a pink padded jacket and orange trainers.
The man who was driving the car is described as white, in his late 20s /early 30s, about 5ft 8in in height, large build and dark short hair. He was wearing a navy shirt and denim trousers.
