Brenden Yapp – who is 22 – was reported missing on Saturday 22 February and it is thought he may have made his way to the Wrexham area.
He did have some internet contact with a family member up until Saturday as he was actually last seen slightly prior to that, but he has not been in touch since he was reported missing.
A police spokesman said:
“We are becoming increasingly concerned for Brenden as it is unlike him to not make contact with his family in this way.
“We know Brenden has contacts in Wrexham and that is why we believe he may well be in that area.
“However, it is important we stress that we have not had any sightings of him to confirm the suspicions we have about where he might be.
“I would urge anyone who has seen Brendan, or who knows where he is, to contact us as soon as possible and anyone with information should call police in Shropshire on 0300 333 3000 or 101.
“Alternatively, please remember information can also be passed on to the charity Missing People if you prefer. There Helpline number is 116 000.”
