Shropshire residents warned over doorstep road repair offer

Shropshire Council says the incidents have been reported in the Leighton area, but may have also taken place in other parts of Shropshire.

It has been reported that the men have been offering to do pot hole and tarmac repairs with what they falsely claim are left over materials from council works nearby.

The unidentified men are said to be using equipment and materials which Shropshire Council does not use for these types of work.

The council is asking residents not to take up the offer and to report any incidents to them and, if possible, to record the registration number of any vehicle.
