Ludlow defibrillator training takes place

In the New Year, Ludlow’s Assembly Rooms will have the device that can restart the heart of someone who suffers a cardiac arrest. It would be secure yet publicly accessible.

On Sunday 9th December, West Midlands Ambulance Service provided training for nine members of the public at Ludlow Castle.

Graeme Perks who is an active volunteer in the town and local councillor said: “Anyone of any age could suffer a cardiac arrest anywhere. For every minute someone is in cardiac arrest, their chance of survival decreases by ten percent. Every minute counts. While an ambulance is on its way the sooner you can begin giving CPR and apply the defibrillator, the better.”
