Carol Smillie to host charity fashion show in Shrewsbury

Carol, who is best known for presenting the award-winning BBC series Changing Rooms, which won her a National Television Award, has agreed to compare at the charity event on October 6.

The show is being organised by sixth form girls at Shrewsbury School and aims to raise around £3,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Models will include Carol’s daughter Christie Knight (17), who is an A level student at the school, and other pupils, who will showcase fashions from retailers around Shrewsbury.

Christie commented: “We were really pleased when my mum said that she would host the show. She is looking forward to the event and helping to raise money for such a worthwhile charity. We aim to beat the fund raising target of £3,000.”
