The 21-year-old was arrested after attending Whitchurch Police Station yesterday.
Following interview, he has been charged with possession of criminal property under the Proceeds of Crime Act and bailed to appear in court on a date to be fixed.
The incident in question took place at an address in Loppington late at night on Tuesday 21 June 2011.
A 76-year-old man was taken to hospital with head and facial injuries after reporting he had been attacked in his home.
Three men from the Wem area – Matthew Wood, 18, Daniel Jones, 19, and a 17-year-old youth – have all appeared in court charged with robbery in connection with the incident.
A fifth man, a 22-year-old arrested yesterday on suspicion of assisting an offender, is on police bail pending further enquiries.
