The festival, which has brought a range of arts attractions to the town for the last 25 years, will take place for three days from May 6 2022, and next year it is hoped that the festival will be able to revert to having live performances and events.

This year’s festival, which had to be held online, included a number of new ideas such as a virtual art gallery and search for Wellington’s first resident poet, and the organisers are keen to hear feedback and ideas.

Residents are being asked to get involved by putting forward ideas and suggestions for acts to perform by getting in touch with Wellington Town Council.

“The festival working group are in the early stages of planning for next year and are looking for a diverse range of events and performances over the three days, hopefully with a wide variety of appeal across the visual arts, music, theatre and the written and spoken word,” said Wellington Town Council events co-ordinator Paola Armstrong.

“It is hoped we will fit in as much as possible but when suggesting acts people should of course bear in mind we have a limited budget,” she added.

All ideas should be submitted to Wellington Town Council events co-ordinator Paola.Armstrong@telford.gov.uk by September 17.
