Everyone invited to take part in Oswestry 10k

Runners of all abilities are being invited to take part in a new running event in Oswestry this October.

The 10k race will be held on Sunday 13 October 2019 and encourages runners of all types, from nervous first-timers through to the experienced runner.

The race will have a lovely blend of town and country with a circular route that starts at Church Street, then onto Morda Road, Nant Lane, Trefonen Road, Oswestry Road, Upper Brook Street and ending back at Church Street.

The event will raise funds for its charity partner Hope House, the local hospice provides care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families from Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales.

All runners completing the race receiving a special medal designed around Wilfred Owen.

Organisers have discussed with Shropshire Council to make the run a regular fixture.
