Jonathan Soden, proprietor of The Soden Collection in Wyle Cop, is preparing for his first major show of the year.

“I am very excited about our ‘Exhibition of Colour’ which will open on April 5,” said Jonathan, whose gallery specialises in contemporary art and sculpture from leading names as well as local artists.

“Our display rooms will be looking very vibrant and interesting during the month-long show – it will be a great introduction to the spring season for our customers and visitors.”

“I am delighted to be including some top artists in the exhibition, such as Sir Terry Frost, a giant of British abstract art. His work reflects his gratitude at having survived wartime incarceration and it is full of colour.

“Sir Peter Blake, regarded as the godfather of British pop art, will also be featured, as well as Sandra Blow, one of the leading lights of the abstract art movement of the 1950s and Barbara Rea and Bruce McLean, both major figures of contemporary British art.”

Original limited edition signed editions and original works will be available, with prices starting at £590.

A preview will be held on Thursday April 4 2019 and anyone interested in attending should contact Jonathan on jonathan@thesodencollection.com

There will also be a special music performance in the gallery on Saturday April 6 to coincide with Shrewsbury’s Big Busk event.
