The Coverage Care home is taking part in Age UK’s Warm Up Britain Bobble Day, inviting friends, relatives and the wider community, to dress up in their finest of jumpers, the wackier the better, all in aid of charity.
Those attending the event at Greenfields will be joining thousands of others across the country in raising funds for Age UK, helping make the winter season better for older people. By simply wrapping up warm, those who come along will also have the chance to win prizes in the raffle and browse the various gift stalls.
Elizabeth Jones, manager at Greenfields care home said: “As a care home operator Coverage Care is well aware of the important work done by Age UK in the area. The Bobble Day is a great, fun way to raise awareness for the elderly in these chilly winter conditions and we are more than happy to support them by holding our own event and inviting the local community to join us in dressing up warm to raise some cash for the charity.”
The Bobble Day event will be held on Friday February 7 from 10am until 12 noon at Greenfields Care Home, on Liverpool Road in Whitchurch. There will be a £3 entrance fee on the door which includes drinks and pastries.
