Get ready for a day packed with entertainment for all ages as the Newport Show, Shropshire’s premier one-day event, has announced a stellar line-up of family favourites and exciting new attractions for 2025.

Set to take place on Saturday, July 12th, the showground will be buzzing with activities designed to keep the whole family happy.
The Village Green is set to be a hub of activity, offering visitors the chance to try their hand at circus skills with turn-up-and-have-a-go sessions, a rodeo bull, or marvel at the high-energy street dance performances by Urban Out Steppers.
For those who appreciate more traditional rhythms, the Stafford Morris Dancers will be back to showcase their time-honoured English traditions, alongside the much-loved Maypole Dancers from Edgmond School.
Younger visitors haven’t been forgotten, with a dedicated children’s face painting session promising to spark creativity. The Show’s Education zone will also host a variety of engaging activities tailored for a younger audience.
A new and exciting addition for 2025 is a collaboration with local Newport business, Evers So Creative. Show Manager Sally Western expressed her delight: “Run by Charlotte Evers-Swindell, the Pottery and Painting Studio and Boutique will be setting up at the Show and offering people the chance to paint their own pottery from mugs, plates, bowls to all manner of figurines.”
Visitors will be able to paint items that Evers So Creative will then glaze and fire to be food and dishwasher safe. A demonstration on the day will show the process and the finished look of the fired pottery. For a small fee, items can also be painted with acrylics to be taken home on the same day. Adding to the excitement, a competition will offer the lucky winner a voucher worth up to £50 to use at the Evers So Creative studio.
Firm favourites are also making a welcome return. The jaw-dropping stunt displays by Team M.A.D. will be back on the Village Green, as will the ever-popular Meirion Owen and his incredible One Man and His Dog Show, showcasing remarkable sheepdog demonstrations.
Sally Western added, “With a great line up in our Festival of Food, our Main Ring entertainment, fabulous shopping and live music and attractions across the Show ground, there really is something for everyone – and we can’t wait to welcome you!”
