Shrewsbury theatre-goers are in for a treat as Vampires Rock – Eternal Love: The Musical arrives at Theatre Severn from Thursday, March 6th to Saturday, March 8th.

This brand-new rock musical, 20 years in the making, has already garnered rave reviews following its triumphant world premiere. Critics are praising the show’s “real rock singers,” “awesome singers bringing an impressive gothic energy to the stage,” and “brilliant, original music, fabulous singers, dancers, and actors.”
Steve Steinman, the driving force behind the production, expressed his excitement about connecting with long-time fans and welcoming a new generation of musical theatre lovers. “It was a big risk to create a production with an all-original score,” Steinman admitted, “To be honest, I was unsure whether the world was ready for the first new rock musical for decades. But the audience, and critics’ reaction has been absolutely awesome.”
Steinman and his team are particularly proud of their independent production. “Hopefully, this vampires rock musical will live on forever,” he added.
The musical’s success is further amplified by the double-album soundtrack, which soared to number one on the Amazon Rock Music Chart, marking Steinman’s third consecutive number one album.
Vampires Rock: Eternal Love boasts an all-original score, a rarity in the musical theatre world. Critics have noted the show’s “concert-like vibes” and declared that “Steinman has hit the Jackpot with this one!” It is believed to be the first rock musical with an original score since The Rocky Horror Show.
“When a real rock star with his real rock band make a musical you get something very special,” says Steinman, and audiences in Shrewsbury will soon have the chance to experience that special something for themselves.
