Jenny Worley, Chair of Shrewsbury Choral said: “This magnificent work composed by Edward Elgar is most appreciated by music-lovers and Shrewsbury Abbey provides the ideal ambience for this work, which is in two parts relating to the journey of a pious man’s soul and to text from a famous poem by John Henry Newman. Beautiful music, accomplished choirs and splendid orchestral music will be the ideal combination for a most enjoyable evening.”

Tickets for the performance are available online now via shrewsburychoral.org.uk/buytickets, Pengwern Books, Fish Street or on the door on the night.
