Comedy giants Jimmy Carr and Jim Davidson are the lead names performing during a major month of comedy and music in Telford during March.
The Jimmy Carr show sold out in a matter of hours after going on sale earlier this week. His Work In Progress tour made Saturday 2 March at Oakengates Theatre @ The Place a late addition and tickets were snapped up.
Carr will be the latest in a string of huge comedy names to visit the theatre including Nish Kumar, Stewart Francis, Garry Delaney and Reginald D Hunter over the coming spring.
Jim Davidson – the marmite man of the comedy world – brings his latest tour entitled The People Fight Back to the theatre on Friday 15 March and there is only a handful of seats still available for the show.
The month begins with someone Like You: The Adele Songbook on 1 March. Katie Markham leads a talented six piece band through all Adele’s big hits as well as paying homage to some of the star’s musical heroes.
A week later on March 8 sees a completely contrasting show in the form of LiveWire – the world’s greatest AC/DC tribute act complete with cannons, a wall of amps and two hours of high voltage rock’n’roll.
International super trio Blake take the stage at Oakengates Theatre @ The Place on Thursday 14 March performing the finest songs from all seven of their chart topping albums.
