Tickets to see Alan Carr sold out in less than an hour last month and now Oakengates Theatre @ The Place has announced another comedy favourite.
Brummie funnyman Jasper’s career has spanned five decades from Stand Up comedy to TV Quiz show presenter.
Jasper Carrott’s Stand Up And Rock does exactly what it says on the tin… Jasper is back to his very best… mic in hand regaling the audience with his ‘new’ stand up routines before introducing his musical friends that have been rocking audiences all over the world.
Jasper’s guests include his legendary school friend Bev Bevan, who has rock star credentials that most can only dream of, from The Move and ELO to touring as a drummer with Black Sabbath in the 1980s.
Guitarist Trevor Burton was a founding member of The Move and joins Bev and Jasper on stage for Stand Up and Rock, along with the lead singer of the Rockin’ Berries, Geoff Turton. Belting out classic hits with her Birmingham-born musical mates is Joy Strachan-Brain, the lead singer of one of the UK’s finest celtic rock bands, Quill.
