Following the news that the Ludlow Arts Festival will no longer be taking place in Ludlow Castle next year, the Ludlow Fringe team would like to reassure the town that the Fringe will definitely still be taking place next year and the dates for 2015 are already confirmed as 13 June to Sunday 5 July.

2015 will mark the fourth year of the Ludlow Fringe and the organisers are keen to get the whole town involved. Everyone attending this free open event – and all are very welcome – will be able to meet the Fringe team, talk to volunteers, get involved and suggest ideas for what they want to see at future Ludlow Fringe festivals.

Anita Bigsby, Founder and Director of the Ludlow Fringe, said:

“We had a fantastic Fringe this year thanks to hard work and lots of effort from dozens of volunteers – huge thanks to all of them. Given the news about Ludlow Arts Festival, we felt it was a good time for the Fringe to host a public meeting to reassure the town that Ludlow Fringe is going from strength to strength and will very much be back next year. We’ll be on hand to answer questions, listen to your thoughts and feedback and share our plans for next year.”

She added: Ludlow Fringe is for those who live, work and study in Ludlow and the surrounding area and we’d love to hear your thoughts on what you’d like to see next year. We’d love more people to get involved too, there are all sorts of roles available, from PR and marketing to programming and event management. So come along and meet us – get involved and let’s show everyone what a great and creative town Ludlow really is.”

Shaun Ward Artistic Director Ludlow Arts Classical Summer Festival added:

“We’re delighted that Ludlow Fringe will be returning for another year. St Laurence’s is the prime classical music venue in Ludlow and, last year, our mini-fest of music was one of the highlights of the Fringe. We are already working on an exciting programme of concerts to compliment to dynamic Fringe. We look forward to everyone’s support as we all move forward.”

In attendance at the open meeting will be Ludlow Fringe’s programming group, the PR and marketing team, the Friends of Ludlow Arts Festival, Ludlow Fringe volunteers and other groups who have been involved in the success of the Fringe over the past few years.

The Ludlow Fringe meeting will be held at Ludlow Brewery from 7pm. There’s no need for a ticket, just turn up and come and say hello and have your say!
