Shrewsbury School are delighted that one of the world’s finest singer-pianists, Joe Stilgoe, will be performing at Shrewsbury School offering his mix of virtuosic musicianship. His charm,dynamic stage presence and sense of humour have made him a favourite at the UK’s top jazz clubs, while also leading to praise from some of the industry’s biggest names.
He has been compared to Jamie Cullum, another of the country’s most exciting piano-playing showmen, with both credited for their ability to combine good music with an entertaining streak. We can look forward to an evening that will please both jazz afficionados and those usually turned off at the mention of jazz.
Joe Stilgoe and his band have been championed by BBC Radio 2’s Sir Michael Parkinson who dubbed Stilgoe ‘a truly remarkable singer songwriter, not to mention piano player’..
