Bluebird Care Shropshire has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Claire Gwilliam as Registered Care Manager, marking an exciting new chapter for the local home and live-in care provider.

Claire brings with her a deep passion for delivering compassionate, person-centred care and a strong belief in the power of community to transform lives. She plans to build on Bluebird Care Shropshire’s track record of delivering successful initiatives; earlier this summer, the whole team took part in a 100-mile walking, running and swimming challenge to raise vital funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Speaking about her new role, Claire said:
“I am grateful for the opportunity to lead such a great team of people. My priority is to make sure every customer receives exceptional, personalised care, while also ensuring our dedicated team feel valued and empowered to grow in their roles. To me, working in care is about making a difference in people’s lives every single day, and I’m excited to continue building on the strong reputation Bluebird Care Shropshire has for quality and compassion.”
Claire started with Bluebird Care as a Care Assistant in 2013. She worked hard to develop her skills and training stepping up to a supervisor role 2 years later, then noticing a passion for training Claire stepped in to the training role and learning the administration side of the business, after being in this position for the last 8 years Claire was ready for a new challenge.
Claire was inspired to pursue a career in care after a change in carer direction. she had always been drawn to caring for people and when the opportunity arose she took it. Claire chose Bluebird care Shropshire as it was local to where she lived and also shared her values of providing person centred, outstanding care.
Ian Barnes, Director at Bluebird Care Shropshire, added:
“Claire’s vision and leadership will help us continue to provide the compassionate, customer-focused care Bluebird Care Shropshire is known for. Her commitment to both her team and her customers reflects our shared values of respect, empathy and excellence in care.”
