Employees at SP Services in Hortonwood are playing a part in providing crucial medical assistance to those affected by the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
Inspired by the efforts of the charity Driving Ukraine, a team member, Kully Kaur, spearheaded an initiative that saw the company donate a significant amount of vital medical supplies.
Driving Ukraine is a remarkable charity dedicated to delivering essential medical aid and support directly to the frontlines in Ukraine. Since its inception, the organisation has successfully delivered over 170 vehicles, including ambulances, 4×4 evacuation vehicles, and first responder units, directly to where they are most desperately needed. Through the generosity of donors, they have raised over £1.2 million and completed more than 35 challenging convoys from the UK to Ukraine.
Touched by the charity’s impactful work, Kully Kaur at SP Services, a company known for its expertise in medical supplies, reached out to offer support. The response was a generous donation of a wide array of medical equipment, including emergency battlefield dressings, combat application tourniquets, haemostatic dressings, medical bags, maternity packs, stethoscopes, medical shears, boots, airway products, and a substantial quantity of general medical dressings.
The team at SP Services expressed their pride in contributing to such a worthy cause. “It’s been great to see the difference these supplies can make,” said a representative from the company. “It’s really rewarding to know that some of the kit we work with every day is being used to help people in such a difficult situation.”
The donation was recently pictured with two members of the SP Services team alongside Steve Eccleshall, who is actively involved with Driving Ukraine, highlighting the collaborative effort between the local business and the international aid organisation.
