This move underscores Veezu’s commitment to strengthening community ties and encouraging young people to stay active and engaged through sport.

The company’s sponsorships this year include Shrewsbury Women’s U15s Football, Baschurch Girls Football Team, Meole Brace Colts, Shrewsbury Up & Comers, Grange Park Primary School, and Baschurch U15s Football Club.

Each team has received a cash donation of at least £500, aimed at improving the sporting experience by providing young athletes with essential resources whilst promoting teamwork and physical activity.

Graham Hoof, Regional Operations Director at Veezu, commented: “We are extremely proud to be supporting young people in Shropshire. We’re passionate about the power of community engagement, and we believe that by supporting these teams, we can help make Shropshire a positive environment where young people can thrive.

“Grassroots football is about much more than the game – it’s about building confidence, developing skills, and creating a sense of community. Through these donations, we’ve helped to fund new playing kits, and each team is now proud to show off their new gear. It’s a privilege to play a part in their journey, and we hope this will give them the confidence to go out and make themselves proud, and perhaps even inspire more young people to take up sport.”

The donations are part of the ‘Funded by Veezu’ initiative, which invites local causes, charities, and grassroots organisations to apply for funding aimed at enriching the lives and experiences of the communities Veezu serves.

John Wigley, from Shrewsbury Women’s U15s football, stated: “We, as a new junior girls’ team have had to rely on hand-me-down kits. We are very grateful for Veezu’s backing, which has enabled us to purchase an away and training kit. This has really helped with giving the girls their own identity. Girl’s football is on the up and we are delighted that Veezu has supported us and girls’ football in general.”

Lee James, from Grange Park Primary School in Telford, added: “We would like to thank Veezu for their extremely kind sponsorship of our brand-new football kit. The new kit will help us give even more children the opportunity to represent our school teams. In the short time we’ve had the kit, we’ve already used it for two tournaments and County Cup fixtures, where many people commented on how nice the kit looks.”
